Welcome to 3rd grade!

Hello class! I am really looking forward to meet you and to be your 3rd grade teacher. I really hope that you will help me make this the BEST year ever. School Starts on the Monday , August 23, 2010.
I will be using this blog as a way of communicating with you and your parents.
1. Spelling words will be on the blog weekly.
2. Activities will also be posted on here.
3. Samples of students work may also be published on the blog.

I just wanted to thank you Mr. Krause for doing a great job with the class. I know that the students had a great time with him. We are down to the final weeks of school.
Today we started the CRT's your students did a great job following directions, and seemed well rested. We will finish the test on Thursday.

Math CRT's will Be Monday and Tuesday. If you are planning on being gone please let me know.

End of year testing

Our class has begun their end of year testing. Please make sure they are eating breakfast, getting a good night sleep and coming on time to school.
What can you do to help? You can review math facts and concepts at home. Please continue to have your child reading at home.

Keyboarding.

This week you child will be bringing home keyboarding homework. Please allow them to practice using proper etiquette. (placement of fingers on home row, no lazy wrists.) There are to do 10 minutes of practice 2 nights a week.

Spring Break Begins Thursday April 1st.
Students will NOT have school Thursday, Friday and Monday!

Students will begin end of the year testing in April.
IOWA- around April 12th.
CRT's - End of April beginning of May.
