Week of Dec. 3rd

 Parents,
I can't believe December is here. I hope that all is well. We are reviewing Unit 2 in Reading. For this reason spelling will not come home until Thursday, Dec. 6th this week. Thank you for your support and working with me on the 5 day spelling. The test will be on Dec. 12th.

Math
 We are beginning our unit  on double digit subtraction mentally.
We will continiue will double digit addition.
Thank you for your support with money. They are doing a fabulous job.

Class Notes:
We are beginning our Christmas Around the World Unit. We will visit a different country daily. 
On Dec. 13th we will be walking to Mt. Jordan Middle School to watch the Nutcracker Ballet.
Permission slips will be sent home this week.

School ends on Dec. 19th for Holiday break. This will be an early day.

We have been practicing plurals in class.  Students are learning if a word ends in a ch,sh,s, x then they will add -es otherwise,  it ends in s.   If a word ends with a y then you change the y to an i and add -es.
